Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

I had to squeeze in one last take on the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge!! This time I went with the more obvious baby theme and made something a bit more soft and vintage-y. I gave my Sew Easy tool some much needed love and used the wonderful Paper Smooches 'FOLKal Points' and 'Alphdot' sets!!

I made this card for a sketch challenge hosted by Crafting Ireland for the Great Big Craft Extravaganza!!

It's funny, I had no idea until yesterday that this even takes place... I stumbled across it when I was on the Waltzingmouse Stamps Facebook page!! So now, I am off on Sunday to Athlone, I now know that there is a Crafting Ireland Online Magazine, and here I am participating in the challenges!!!

Delightfully Random....

I think is a good way to sum myself up really!!

So this is how it inspired this random girl...
I did some stitching, doily lace border, picked up most of the colours, and thought the roof tops were like the points of the banners.

Just Because...

I kept seeing all these beautiful stamped feather images lately, I had to try my hand at drawing one! So this card was for no other reason really!!
 Just so that I could have some fun colouring the feather!!

Papertrey Ink

I made a simple birthday card picking up some of the floors colours and angles, I also tried to create the colour blocked edge from the inspiration picture with the present from 'Make a Wish'!

Hey Baby, Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

has  a super sweet inspiration picture this time 'round!! So cute that it would make me want another little baby girl just to put this on her... {almost!!}

This little onesie from Tricia's Etsy Shop inspired me to use some paper ruffles, a sweet little tag with twine held on by a mini clothes peg, and the super fun colours hot pink, kelly green, mint and kraft!! 

Instead of a baby card, I went with a romantic Christmas card with the fun 'Swanky Snowdudes' set!

Challenge ends Oct. 5th so you have lots of time to play along!! See you there!!

Joining in...

Amber's Papercrafts Reject Blog Hop {again... he he}!

This was a card I made for the recent Papercrafts call for submission in the 'masking' section, it took a lot of time fussy cutting the masks and getting these little critters in place so had to share! I also had a couple rejected for the 'colour spectrum' section, but I will save those for another day!!

I just finished reading another post that Amber had posted on her blog this week and it really helped to put everything in perspective for me, also helps dealing with this 'rejection' a little bit easier!!

You should definitely pop over there and read the post... and even if you can't relate, she has an awsome card made out of micro beads that you have to see!!

Bought a fab black dress yesterday!! Fits great... check it out HERE... no Papertrey order for me this month but hey.... I think I have enough craft supplies to get by... lol!!

After a much needed summer break,

My Partner in Crafting Crime is back with challenges once again!

This fortnight's challenge is 'Planes, Trains and Automobiles' or to make it even easier... any form of transport!

Pocket Aces!

A quick post to share a card I made for The Next Challenge in the Moxie Fab World: Card Play!

This fun set by Wplus9 arrived today and this idea came to mind... I am not a poker player but somehow the saying 'Pocket Aces' was in my mind.

'Congrats' seemed to be a fitting sentiment since I imagine 3 Aces in any hand of cards is pretty rare?!

Some Christmas Humor....

for this fine Thursday Morning!

You gotta love Paper Smooches stamps for their punniness qualities...

This first one might not be as funny for everyone as it would be here in Ireland where a 'lift' is a 'ride'...

ie./ You would say 'Can you give me a lift to the school?' NOT 'Can you give me a ride to the school?'

A 'ride' in Ireland is something quite naughty! I'll let you google it!

So Santa is thanking Rudoulf for the lift here...

Then I have the snowmen rolling their own snowballs in this one... I am hoping this one is a bit more self explanitory? Hoping....

Anyway...

A bit behind!!

With the excitement of back to school and birthdays at our house last week I forgot to post about a couple things here!

You're Special...

Create: Blog's Challenge this week is to use woodgrain in your cards... so I got out my woodgrain background stamp and did some paper piecing with some woodgrain paper as well! 

The woodgrain also reminded me of Paper Smooches inspiration picture for the current Sparks Challenge so I thought I would have one last go... 

I masked, stamped, coloured and paper pieced the images to make it look like they were best buds...

There is still a little bit of time for both these challenges if you would like to play along!!
