Just a quick post playing along with The Shabby Tea Room's 'Butterfly Wishes' challenge!

I had the perfect digi for this one so I had to play along!! I tried to pick up the bright colours from the butterflies in the picture... even used one of my dyed doilies that I got in Frog Feathers Etsy shop! I hate using them because they are so pretty, but no sense in hoarding....

Moxie Fab World: Tissue Paper Magic!

When I thought of tissue paper the first thing that came to mind was crafting in school as a child...

Remember the stained glass windows at Christmas or the pictures you did totally with tissue paper and glue wraping the squares around the end of your pencil.... ah the good old days!

So I tried to combine the two ideas in this card by making a modern stained glass window {for lack of better words} and tissue paper flower that was wraped around my pencil and dipped in a puddle of glue!!!

Oh course, the biggest challenge was getting some tissue paper this am... kiddos in tow we went to a good few shops till we got this colour combo.....

My eldest girl will be six soon so I embossed the number six on one of the pannels for a fun birthday card for her!

Card: Stamps-Stampin' Up, PTI. Die-PTI; Ink-Versamagic, Versamark with white embossing powder. Tissue Paper and Pearl brad.

Make It Monday #12- Line Frame

This Make It Monday with Nicole I found super useful...

there are so many times where I look at my cards and they NEED something!

I think the line frame will be something that you will see a lot more of in my cards...

so simple... but clever!

I had a different idea in my head when I was lying in my bed on Monday night after watching the Make It Monday video, but since my lovely postman delivered the April Papertrey Ink stamps to me today I was dying to ink up some of the new sets! I am already seriously hoping they bring out a 'Ad Sense Additions'!!

I did a quite a simple line frame and added the stars with the line on either side from the Ad Sense set to give it a little interest...

Tuesday Trigger: Crepe Bouquet

This weeks trigger at the Moxie Fab World was....

pretty, soft, feminine....

difficult!

I really struggled with this one.. 

I tried to pick up the colours again and went with a wedding type vibe...

how gorgeous would you be walking down the isle with this delicate bouquet!!

I decided to take the photo of my card in a different place today... 

so I strutted to the front of our housing estate with the PJ's on this am and took this one

on the beautiful stone bench!

Very windy today so is was a balancing act, for sure!

Hello Cutie Challenges!

Is a new challenge blog run by a whole bunch of talented girlies!!

I have been wanting to play along with this colour challenge all week but just haven't got around to it...

till now, of course!!

I got some really fun flowers and trims in the post this am from Christi at Frog Feathers Etsy Shop... and they were perfect for the Hello Cutie colour challenge!!

Tuesday Trigger 'Porch Play'

Another lovely Tuesday Trigger from Moxie Fab... and I am just sliding in by the skin of my teeth!!

Time is not on my side these days! I want to say you have loads of time to play along by going HERE, but the clock is a ticking my friends so you will have to be quick!

I  picked up most of the colours from the trigger and tried to recreate the fab mirror with my die!

Unfortunately my yellow stitching doesn't look as bright in the pic as it does in 'real life' :(

Make it Monday #10 with Lisa!

It's amazing how many simple but really effective techniques we forget about! Gotta love Make It Monday's for this!!

This Make It Monday with Papertrey Ink, Lisa shows us how to use the masking technique with dies!

I have to get myself some of that re positional glue soon, for this card I relied purely on my steady hand to hold the mask in place... yikes! 

I used a blue distress ink to sponge in my 21st mask and then a music background stamp over that! 

One of best friends son's is 21 today! He is in a band called Wired Desire in England... hard to believe when I first moved to Ireland I was helping him learn a few chords on his new guitar! Now look at him (lead singer).. and me, I haven't picked up my guitar in 10 years!!

Anyway,

still practicing that stitching! Learned all about that sticky needle you don't want to get! Oh, and Lisa uses score lines to mark where she is going to stitch... very clever!!!!!

Tuesday Trigger- A Burst of Blooms!

Hard to believe another week is flown by... had fun trip to the Dublin Zoo yesterday with the family!

Weather has been brilliant here!!

When I saw the pic over at Moxie Fab World Tuesday I knew I had to play along...

such a fun inspiration picture!!

One of my new Wplus9 sets that arrived for Mother's Day kept screaming at me ... 'use me, use me!' so I had to ink it up! I chose a few colours from the picture that my ink stash allowed, the {very boisterous} Mehndi Medalions,  and the sentiment kinda reminded me of a lovely crocheted blanket... always there to wrap up in when you need it!

I used some soft pastel colours for this one and coloured up this sweet little 'Easter Ride' digi!

Of course,

I couldn't leave my favourite things behind so I teamed it up with some seam binding ribbon and a little flower for some egg-stra Easter fun!!

Color Cue {13} Challenge

This is my first time playing along with Wplus9 Colour Cue Challenge.... but not my last I assure you!!

I stumbled across Wplus9 recently and fell in love! My first order came the other day just in time for Mother's Day... and I might have ordered again since.. he he ;)

Lots going on this Monday!

but I am probably most happy about the noise of the carpet cleaner working away in the background!!!

The 3 little ones plus some tipsy adults once and a while can sure make for a dirty carpet!

We are starting a new challenge over at My Partner in Crafting Crime where we would like to see 3 or more layers on your creations.....  the more layers the merrier!!!
