A really simple card....
was just meant to take me a minute

BUT

that stretched out into a couple hours!!!

Obviously, I didn't take all of that time making this card... lol... but more looking for the sentiment I was supposed to add to the bottom!! I was planning it out... checking to see how the stamp was going to fit on the bottom of the card when the phone rang....

I ran to the phone and after that it was missing in action!! My lovely little, clear, PTI 'happily ever after'

Never to be seen... of course I knew it could be far but two hours later still no joy!!

So this is how it ended up... still very simple and needs some adding to... but had to share since it carried my very sad story... he he he!!

The resolution continues....

but just barely!!

I haven't scrapped for a bit, but I wanted to make sure that had at least one page done for february!!

Why is it that once you start making cards, it is so hard to go back to scrapping?? I mean, this is the hobby that I first fell in love with... the one that started my addiction with paper!! I was reading an interview with one of the new Odd Girls Kellie Winnell and she said the same happened to her!

Baby time!

Birthday Boy....

 Well, we are heading into the mid term break here in Ireland... my little ones have the week off ahead! They are outside burning a little energy {while I am posting this} then we are watching Despicable Me. They have seen it before but assure me it is funny and that I need to watch it!

I probably mentioned in a previous post about my nephew being one tomorrow... so another card for this occasion! {Since family are my best customers... lol!}

Spring!

Yay! It's nice to see a change of colour pallette... all those beautiful spring colours!!

And despite all the unusual snow we had this winter my daffodils are still peaking their heads out of the garden... should be in bloom in time for Paddy's Day!!

Paper Piecing is Moxie Fab!!

And I agree...

 paper piecing is one of my fave techniques! {as you probably notice from some of my other posts/tutorial below}

There are some great examples in the Papercrafts Stamp It Techniques mag... mine is already all dog earned and worn since it comes to bed with me a lot of the time!! Lol!

My nephew is one this weekend so I was making this card for him and wanted the PJ's to match the papers I was using! {left some space on the card to add his name or a message later}

Papertrey Ink Fave!!

Papertrey Ink are celebrating their 4th Anniversary this month and to kick off the celebrations they are posting their favourite projects of the year......

Even though I only discovered and ordered my first sets in October I have completely fallen in love with all the girls blogs, unique styles, and all of their amazing products!!! 

I know the hubby is looking at the ever growing stack {of what looks like CD's} but is actually stamps on my desk and rolling his eyes!! I am hopelessly addicted!!

Anyway, back to the task at hand.... the idea was to post one of your favourite projects and this was one of mine.......

I made it to send to my brother who is busy doing his 3rd year in dental school and has so much going on he needs to write it all down {not to mention that family trait I spoke about in some of my posts where if not written down, it doesn't happen!} 

I got to combine a lot of my new sets with this one..... esp. the fabulous dies that coordinate with so many of their products!!!!

{not great pics, I am afraid, as I never planned to post these!}

Paper Piecing Tutorial for Some Odd Girl!

 Yesterday was my last day with the DT for Some Odd Girl... sob:( 

Had a lot of fun with the team and the images!! You might have seen the card already, but below is a tutorial I had done for the latest newsletter that went out yesterday so I thought I would post it for those who don't get the newsletter.....

Hi all, Thought I would show you {or just remind you} a fun way of having your image match your papers! When we are starting out, we usually don't have all the Copic colours of the rainbow and this is an easy way to match up colours without breaking the bank!

First I printed off the paper of my choice and then printed my image over top of the patterned paper. You don't have to use digital paper; most designer papers will be perfect to print your digital image over {printer depending}!

I cut out the piece I was using with some decoupage scissors

Then I glued the piece onto the image before I coloured it. {You can colour first and then glue the paper piece, the choice is yours!}

Colour your image, or you could paper piece as much as you desire….

Cut out your fabulous Some Odd Girl image, pop it on a card and blog it for all the world to see!!!
