Happy Holidays!!

Well,

the parents made it safe and sound... but just barely...

they have a great story to tell everyone at least!

On last project to share for 2010...

some stocking stuffers to hand out to all the kidlets....

Lots of fun to make and I even got to use one of my beloved Some Odd Girl images!!!

Sigh.....

Well, 

as you can see my back drop is snow again... 

it had all melted and things were getting back to normal around here.

BUT

this am we had a big dumping of it again and can't say I was impressed!

My parents were on the way over to visit us here in Ireland for Christmas but because of the disruption the snow is causing, their flight to Heathrow was canceled on Sunday night :(

They are now in Toronto in a hotel until tomorrow afternoon and have to fly to New York then Dublin tomorrow and hope to arrive Thursday am....

EXCEPT

it's snowing here.....

hope we can keep our runways clear till then!!!!!

School is canceled here once again so we have done the gingerbread house and I have had some extra time to craft... 

made the notebook below for my Dad's stocking. He likes to call his notebook at home on his desk his 'paper brain' so I thought he might like an Irish one!

anyway... rant over....

hope everyone is up to speed with their shopping, baking, and wrapping....

Well,

I'm fresh out of Christmas card ideas at this stage, so I wanted to do something a little bit different....

I printed Some Odd Girl's 'Elf Kaylee' onto some kraft and gave her just a bit of colour..

embossed the tag with holographic powder to give it a shimmer! 

Was hard to get a good picture with the reflection from the holographic embossing powder so you will have to take my word for it that it looks really neat!! 

Now it is ready to pop on one of my last minute Christmas gifts!!

Nutty for Notebooks!

Probably because I am all Christmas carded out now.... I think I have made a few too many at this stage... I have fallen in love with making notebooks! 

I had only ONE left covered in red cardstock from the many I had covered to finish so I wanted to do something a bit more fun and personal with lots of things that I love at the moment...

my new Papertrey stamps, vintage images, that sweet bakers twine and ball trim, doilies,  Woodware's buttons, then of course my beloved black coffee, and who could forget my fave of the moment antique linen distress ink... even did the ball trim in it.....

lots of layers, little bit crazy.. but I love it!
