Dear Islandic Volcano...

I hope to be in Canada for Father's Day this year (Ash depending, of course) so I am starting early making Father's Day cards. Used Kody from Some Odd Girl for all the cool dads in your life... he he
My Dad used to be a drummer for a band called Fat Chance (never heard of them, you say.. when I googled it apparently there is another with that name now... but I have the T-shirt to prove they existed!!) and another called Plastic Stone (influenced from The Plastic Ono Band and the Rolling Stones I am guessing??) .... although his hair has been MIA for as long as I can remember the old pics of him behind his drum kit show different!!

A sight for sore eyes!!

I have an eye infection.... they kinda suck! Never had one before and have to say I am a bad patient. Through out my nursing career I prob instilled more eye drops then I can remember and not once do I remember anyone flinching and scouring away from me like I did yesterday when my hubby tried to put my eye drops in! I put them in myself and the suckers didn't even sting or anything... just the idea of something foreign heading towards my eyes scares me.........
Not only that, but I headed to bed last night around 7:30 feeling sorry for myself.... I'm kinda laughing at myself now.....
Anyway, this little get well soon card is NOT intended for someone with an eye infection...... if anything it might cause one.... he he!

Hey Fun-gi.....

This little mushy card I made this eve for the Design Dollies Colour Challenge. He is one of four Mushies in the set over at Some Odd Girl and I really dig them so you will probably see the others soon! The ball trim idea I think I saw first at Design Dollies and I can't wait to go home (Canada) for a visit and get it in every colour I see!!!

Design Dollies Colour Challenge- turquoise, yellow and black

Challenge time again!!!

Hey Everyone, just wanted to let you know about Challenge 2 over at My Partner in Crafting Crime...
this week we have a colour challenge for you... we want you to use these three colours on any of your work

Brown
Gold
Pink

here is what I came up with for you and check out Jenny's take here

but I am dying to see what you can do so hop on over to My Partner in Crafting Crime and play along with us...

see you soon, Robin

Like, gag me with a shovel...

Well, this week Some Odd Girl Challenge Blog is celebrating the 80's and since it was a "totally awesome" decade I had to join in.......

the music was legendary, the clothes, well, heck most of them are back in style this season (well, here, anyway), the movies... classics...

Anyway the one thing I kept laughing about was bicycle shorts with the fluorescent line down the side (I think they were banned at our school.. he he) so I am afraid I had to give Kaylee a pair...

the Rubix cube.. which I spent too many hours at and ended up just trying to peel the stickers off and putting them in the right place... (I know there wasn't pink on the original.. but there should have been.. he he)

jelly shoes and bracelets... my kids have a few so I sneaked one onto the card as well!

I really wanted to spatter paint on the card to finish it off but was too afraid I would have to start over....

It was early in the am when I took the pic and the sun was out in full strength, so I have a few shadows but I think it looks cool so I didn't take another....

Hungry like the Wolf- Duran Duran

and the list goes on.......

Looking for "devilment"!!

This card I made for IC Sketches which gave a sketch to follow but also a colour combo this week as well as Cute Card Thursday which was Boyz to Men. I think the lad on the front of card looks like he is looking for "devilment" as they say in Ireland!  The card looked too clean when I finished it so I decided to distress the edges to look grass stained.... and it is also my favourite of the Tim Holtz colours (as some of you know!!)

Below is a pic of my own little devil (1 of 3 of them I should say!) His new favourite pass time is turning off the computer mid blogging.... (don't mind the dirt!)
